Pietro Ballerini Puviani é nato a Bologna, dove risiede, nel 1960. Avvocato civilista, da molti anni si dedica anche alla scrittura di romanzi (spy stories, thriller e libri di avventura), il cui comune denominatore è costituito dal mare. Perché il mare? Perché Ballerini Puviani ama visceralmente quell’elemento. È un velista-regatante (ha al suo attivo trentanove anni di partecipazioni a regate e campionati anche internazionali), ed un appassionato subacqueo, sempre pronto ad immergersi. Ballerini Puviani è, inoltre, uno dei massimi esperti di storia della pirateria. I primi due romanzi, IL TESORO DEL BONITO (1997) e LE SENTINELLE DEL CIELO (1998) – pubblicati da Ballerini Puviani con GEA – sono attualmente reperibili sui vari bookshop presenti in Internet. Più recentemente, Ballerini Puviani ha pubblicato due romanzi storico-avventurosi intitolati BLACK HAWK – GENTILUOMO DI VENTURA (Mursia-2005) e BLACK HAWK – CACCIA NELL’OCEANO INDIANO (Mursia-2006). Nel 2007 è uscito, sempre con Mursia, SANGUE SULLA AMERICA’S CUP, un thriller ambientato nel mondo della Coppa America di vela. Nel settembre 2009 è uscito, ancora con Mursia IL SANGUE DEL PIRATA, un action thriller sulla pirateria contemporanea. ______________________________________________
Pietro Ballerini Puviani was born in 1960 in Bologna (Italy), where he now lives and works as an attorney. Since he was a child he started sailing, a sport which he still loves very much and has been practising for over thirty-nine years (racing and cruising all around the world). During the last fifteen years, he has collected also a lot of deep-sea scuba dives. He can therefore be considered an expert about sea-matters and history of the piracy. He writes spy stories, thrillers and adventure stories as well. Up to today, he signed the following books: THE BONITO’S TREASURE (1997), WATCHERS OF THE SKY (1998), BLACK HAWK – GENTLEMAN OF VENTURE (Mursia-2005), BLACK HAWK – CHASE ON THE INDIAN OCEAN (Mursia-2006), BLOOD ON THE AMERICA’S CUP (Mursia-2007). Starting on september 2009, another action-thriller (about contemporary piracy) will be on sale in the bookstores: THE PIRATE’S BLOOD.

Pietro Ballerini Puviani nace en 1960 en la ciudad de Bologña, donde actualmente vive y trabaja come abogado civil. Es un gran apasionado de la vela, que pratica desde hace treinta años, y de las dimensiones profundas de las aguas, que ha explorado como buceador. Por lo tanto, puede ser considerado un experto conoceador del mar.
